Force Protection also announced it received an $18.6 million contract from the British Ministry of Defense under a Foreign Military Sales contract vehicle. Force Protection says it will supply 14 of its Buffalo MRAPs as part of the deal.

"These orders give us continued visibility into the long-term role that the Buffalo will play in the Army's Ground Standoff Mine Detection System program as well as the United Kingdom's route clearance efforts," Michael Moody, Force Protection chief executive officer, said in a statement.

"Buffalo continues to lead the way in route clearance operations worldwide and has performed extremely well in its ability to keep vital routes safe."
