The outer wing replacement, performed at SPAR's Edmonton, Canada, facilities, is part of an initiative by the British Ministry of Defense to extend the life of the Royal Air Force's Hercules aircraft fleet.

"We are pleased that the Ministry of Defense and Royal Air Force have entrusted us with this C-130 outer wing program," Sylvain Bedard, L-3 SPAR president, said in a statement.

"We have developed innovative and unique wing improvement programs for the Canadian C-130 fleet for over 40 years, and this award is a reflection of our market leadership in C-130 life extension programs."
