Odyssey to support 642 ELSS

WAKEFIELD, Mass., March 25 (UPI) -- Massachusetts-based Odyssey Systems Consulting Group announced it has been contracted to support the U.S. Air Force Electronic Systems Center.

Under the professional acquisition support services task order Odyssey will provide support services to the Air Force ESC's 642 Electronic Systems Squadron. Officials say Odyssey, a strategic and tactical business challenges consulting firm, will support the 642 ELSS with program planning, acquisition and administrative services among other tasks.

The 642 ELSS is responsible for "site surveys and analyses of existing bases, installation or modification of security systems at bases and technology development to support force protection efforts," the release said.

"The worldwide force protection efforts of the 642 Electronic Systems Squadron save American and allied lives, and we're proud to support this important mission," Odyssey Chief Executive Officer Michael Sweat said in a statement. "We look forward to further enhancing the exceptional government-industry collaboration for force protection technologies, and helping the 642 ELSS to maintain their position as the force protection material developer of choice for the warfighter."
