MOSCOW, Nov. 19 (UPI) -- The United States' diplomatic mission is not recruiting Russia's Afghan war veterans to fight in Afghanistan, the U.S. envoy to Moscow told reporters Monday. Ambassador Alexander Vershbow labeled Internet-based advertisements, reportedly placed by the U.S. embassy in Russia, a fake and warned all those who were ready to enlist that they were going to be manipulated.
