China displeased over U.S. arms sale

WASHINGTON, Nov. 2 (UPI) -- Beijing is raising concerns over a signal from the Bush administration to sell Taiwan anti-tank missiles. In the last week, Chinese officials in Washington and Beijing made formal protests against an announcement that the Pentagon proposes to sell 40 JAVELIN anti-tank missile systems and 360 actual missile rounds to Taiwan as part of the Taiwan Relations Act.
