DALLAS, Sept. 12 (UPI) -- AT&T said on Friday the company will start offering voice calls and texts messages over Wi-Fi in 2015.
The company joins T-Mobile who made a similar announcement on Wednesday.

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus both support calls and texts over a Wi-Fi network.
Like T-Mobile, an AT&T customer who starts a call on a Wi-Fi network won't have their call dropped once the caller moves to its LTE network.
However, AT&T hasn't launched voice calls over its LTE network. AT&T said calls between Wi-Fi and it's regular network tend to drop, which they admit isn't a great experience.
