Pepperidge Farm recalls 46,000 packages of bagels

NORWALK, Conn., Feb. 6 (UPI) -- Pepperidge Farm on Friday announced it is recalling 46,000 packages of bagels due to undeclared allergens.

The baked goods company is recalling the products because they may contain peanuts and almonds, which could be life-threatening to people who are allergic to them.

No illnesses or deaths have been reported related to the recall.

The recall includes 21 ounce cinnamon raisin bagels with sell-by dates of Feb. 10 and Feb. 12; 21 ounce everything bagels with sell-by dates of Feb. 8 and Feb. 12; 21 ounce plain bagels with sell-by dates of Feb. 10 and Feb. 12; 17 ounce plain mini bagels with sell-by dates of Feb. 7, Feb. 9, Feb. 10 and Feb. 11; 17 ounce brown sugar/cinnamon mini bagels with sell-by dates of Feb. 9 and Feb. 11; 17 ounce 100 percent whole wheat mini bagels with sell-by dates of Feb. 9 and Feb. 11; and 17 ounce cinnamon raisin mini bagels with sell-by dates of Feb. 9 and Feb. 11.

The products were sold in Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
