PD Sixty Distributor recalls space heaters

WASHINGTON, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- PD Sixty Distributor Inc. of Norcross, Ga., is recalling 3,000 space heaters with loose wiring, a federal watchdog agency said.

The portable space heaters sold as Creative Heating Solutions brand electric heaters with model number CH-750, CH-750FC, CH-1500 or CH-1500FC have three wooden sides and a fourth side made of metal. The front includes a vent, a clear plastic faceplate and six black control buttons, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said in a statement.

Some of the heaters have "Creative Heating Solutions" stamped on a rear panel.

The heaters were sold at Hancock Fabrics stores nationwide and by America's Sewing Machine Co., of Augusta, Ga. They were sold between October 2008 and March 2009 for between $380 and $480.

Consumers were advised to stop using the heaters and contact PD Sixty for a free replacement.
