WASHINGTON, Aug. 26 (UPI) -- The U.S. Federal Reserve said Thursday Chairman Alan Greenspan will testify Sept. 8 at a House Budget Committee hearing.
Greenspan will testify on "the economic outlook and current fiscal issues," the Fed said.

The hearing is scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. EDT.
The Budget Committee will hear from Congressional Budget Office Director Douglas Holtz-Eakin on the afternoon of Sept. 8.
Greenspan will also make the opening remarks on Friday, Aug. 27 at the annual Kansas City Fed symposium in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
The luncheon address will be delivered by IMF Deputy Managing Director Anne Krueger.
