Daunte Rachard Culpepper (born January 28, 1977 in Ocala, Florida) is an American football quarterback for the Detroit Lions in the National Football League. He played college football at the University of Central Florida.
A three-time Pro Bowl selection with the Vikings, Culpepper suffered a serious knee injury during the 2005 season. He has also played for the Miami Dolphins and Oakland Raiders.
Culpepper has worked with the African American Adoption Agency since his rookie season, and hosts an annual Daunte Culpepper AAAA Celebrity Golf Tournament fundraiser. He has also served as a keynote speaker at the United Way Reason To Be Thankful celebration. Culpepper was drafted by the New York Yankees before his NFL career started.
