LOS ANGELES, Feb. 24 (UPI) -- Former NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens tells TMZ that he wanted to get divorced from new wife Rachel Snider after just three days of marriage.

According to documents filed in L.A. County Superior Court, Owens claimed the couple was married on Jan. 23 but they split up on Jan. 26. Snider had previously said that they were married for two weeks before she decided to leave Owens, and has also said he only married her to get a loan on a $2 million home in Sherman Oaks, Calf.

Owens filed the divorce documents on Valentine’s Days "in pro per," meaning he’ll be serving as his own lawyer.

"How nice of him to run to the courthouse when I was in the hospital -- and on Valentine's Day no less,” Snider told TMZ Sports. “If money isn’t an issue -- why doesn’t he have an attorney?”

Jokes that were made during a roast of the ex-Eagle at a recent charity event in Philadelphia took a similar tone.

"Since Jerry Rice doesn't need any money and T.O. is officially out of food stamps, let's get this thing underway,” said one roaster.

"Pay attention T.O. ... 'cause you're sure as hell not paying child support,” joked comic Joe Conklin. "Now I see why you got the hamburger commercial, because the condom commercial fell through."
