WASHINGTON, Feb. 24 (UPI) -- Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., came out against Arizona Senate Bill 1062 Monday that allows businesses to refuse service to the LGBT community based on religious beliefs.
He joined Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., in asking that Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer veto the bill when it comes to her desk for signature. The two senators tweeted from their respective accounts their wish for Brewer to prevent the controversial bill from becoming law in their home state.

Politicians have spoken forcefully against the bill saying it will codify discrimination and drive business out of the state.The bill has been passed by both the Arizona House and Senate, and Brewer will have five days to sign the bill into law.
