NEW YORK, Feb. 24 (UPI) -- There’s been another addition to the lineup of CBS’ popular Sunday football show.

Ex-Ravens and Jets linebacker Bart Scott will join The NFL Today in 2014, the network announced on Monday. The move comes on the heels of CBS replacing Dan Marino and Shannon Sharpe with recently-retired tight end Tony Gonzalez.

In addition to Gonzalez, Scott will join James Brown, Boomer Esiason and Bill Cowher on the program. Scott spent last season on CBS’ The Other Pregame Show.

"Bart joining The NFL Today is a natural progression from his outstanding work during his first season on TOPS," CBS Sports Chairman Sean McManus said on Monday. "Bart brings a dynamic personality and unique perspective as a recently retired player providing strong opinions on all the hot-button issues on a weekly basis. We are confident he will continue to bring that perspective and those opinions to The NFL Today."

NFL insider Jason La Canfora will also make appearances on the show.

"Having just stepped off the playing field, Tony brings a fresh and insightful perspective," McManus said last week. "As a future Hall of Famer, we are excited for him to share his knowledge, experiences and opinions with our viewers…While we welcome Tony, we want to acknowledge Dan Marino and Shannon Sharpe who have contributed greatly to the success of The NFL Today for more than a decade.”
