PYONGYANG, North Korea, Feb. 19 (UPI) -- North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un spent more than double his father in his first year in power on luxury imports.

According to the U.N. report, Kim Jong-Un spent more than $645 million during his first year in power, which is more than double his father, Kim Jong-Il, reportedly spent. The report says the exorbitant spending went towards buying a 1,000-seat movie theater for Kim Jong-Un and his closest allies, luxury cars, grand pianos, and cognac.

Despite the fact that North Koreans remain in extreme poverty, Time's Beijing correspondent says, "From a distance, Kim looks quite comfortable in his castle. Like father, like son."

The full U.N. report based on an 11-month inquiry was released Monday and also said the government was guilty of crimes against humanity, including "extermination, murder, enslavement, torture, imprisonment, rape, forced abortions and other sexual violence, persecution on political, religious, racial and gender grounds, the forcible transfer of populations, the enforced disappearance of persons and the inhumane act of knowingly causing prolonged starvation."
