LOS ANGELES, Feb. 19 (UPI) -- On Wednesday, CeeLo Green announced on the Ellen Degeneres Show that he is leaving NBC's The Voice. Green served as a mentor and coach to hopefuls in the singing competition show for four seasons, 1-3 and 5.
Green surprised Ellen and viewers by revealing that his split from the show will be permanent. He stated, "I have so many other things that I want to do" and "...other ambitions that I want to see through that will require my undivided attention." Green currently has a summer tour with Lionel Richie planned, and is almost finished working on a new studio album.
