NEW YORK, Feb. 6 (UPI) -- The Minibar Delivery app will allow New Yorkers to get alcohol delivered right to their front door in under an hour.

In an interview with WSJ Live, co-CEOs Lara Crystal and Lindsey Andrew explained how the app works. People need to download the app, enter their zip code, and then the app will find a local liquor store the application it is partnered with to have the alcohol delivered. Crystal said, "This was basically created for New Yorkers, by New Yorkers and we're really trying to build the best product, the best customer service so that we can make it a better experience for customers than going to their local liquor store."

When asked about how the company prevents teenagers from buying alcohol underage, Andrew replied, "Before you check out, you have to confirm you are over 21 and as well we have a $20 restocking fee if no one is home with a valid ID that states they are over 21, which the store is responsible for asking for ID as well when they deliver."
