DENVER, Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Many Denver Broncos fans were left speechless by Sunday night's devastating 43-8 Super Bowl loss to the Seattle Seahawks, especially after an outstanding season.

Broncos defensive end Shaun Phillips felt especially bad. He tweeted an apology to his 423,000 followers on Sunday night, but shared one text that lifted his spirits.

"Sorry I let you down," Phillips said in a text to his son Jaylen.

"It's okay Daddy u r still my hero," Jaylen responded.

"Well at least we get to hang out now," Phillips wrote back.
