HACKENSACK , N.J., Jan. 29 (UPI) -- Denver Broncos fans who traveled to New Jersey for the Super Bowl but were unable to secure tickets for the big game are in luck because there’s going to be at least one place in the Garden State welcoming them with open arms.

Denver defensive lineman Robert Ayers and safety Mike Adams are New Jersey natives and they set up a party at the Hooters in Hackensack for family members who didn’t get tickets to MetLife Stadium for Super Bowl XLVIII on Sunday between the Broncos and Seattle Seahawks.

“Unfortunately, the NFL, they limit us to how many [tickets] you can buy. So you can’t buy tickets for everybody. Plus, they’re not cheap,” Ayers said. “So we have a little bar set up for my family to watch and they’re going to watch and enjoy the game from there.”

Adams came up with the idea and Ayers signed off on it. “I figured they have good food and, you know … I’m just joking,” Ayers said. “It’s just a great sports bar and a nice place for our families to go enjoy the game.”

Patterson native Adams hinted that he might walk back to his hometown along Route 3 if the Broncos emerge victorious.

“[I thought of it out of] excitement after beating the Patriots,” the 10-year veteran said Tuesday. “I was just thinking, if I go to the Super Bowl, I’m walking home. I’m keeping my equipment on and I’m walking home. That’s how it started. It seems like I have to prove you guys right, huh?”

Although it’s unclear how many chicken wings the families of Adams and Ayers will put down on Super Sunday, Hooters anticipates it will serve up two million wings nationwide.
