LOS ANGELES, Jan. 28 (UPI) -- It looks like Rosie O'Donnell is willing to let bygones be bygones.

The 51-year-old actress and television personality, who currently has a recurring role on ABC Family's The Fosters, will return to The View as a guest on Feb. 7.

O'Donnell left the daytime talk show abruptly back in 2007, after less than one season as panel moderator. Her tenure was marked by an antagonistic on-air relationship with her conservative counterpart Elisabeth Hasselbeck. There were also reports of a supposed feud with host and executive producer Barbara Walters.

O'Donnell left the show just weeks before her contract ended.

"I can say this: I never tried harder to be friends with someone than I did with her, but I don't think we ever got there," O'Donnell wrote of Hasselbeck on her blog in 2007.

“I have great affection for Rosie and we have remained in contact through the years," Walters said in a statement. "I am happy to welcome her back to the program. She is always a lively and engaging guest and a part of the show’s successful history.”
