Benedict Cumberbatch doesn't like it when random strangers walk up to him to compliment his mother.

During an interview with the Daily Mirror, the Star Trek star opened up about the uncomfortable moments he's had with people who think his mother, Wanda Ventham, is "hot."

“I’ve been trapped with men in elevators who say to me, ‘Oh… I really used to like your mom. She’s really hot’”, he told the Daily Mirror. ”I don’t know what to say. If I say, ‘No, she’s not’, that is really insulting to my mother, and if I say she is, it seems very wrong. She is smokin’, I guess.”

Ventham is an English is an actress, best known for her role as Colonel Virginia Lake in the 1970s science-fiction television series UFO.
