John Oliver says goodbye to 'The Daily Show'

Long-time "Daily Show" correspondent John Oliver got a funny, tearful goodbye as he heads off to HBO.

John Oliver's well-received tenure at the Daily Show desk this summer reaped bittersweet dividends as the longtime correspondent landed a new show on HBO.

On Thursday night, the British funnyman said a tearful goodbye to the show that was his home for seven years.

It began with a retrospective of Oliver's most embarrassing bits and ended in a teary hug.
