Shaq blocks Shaunie O'Neal’s attempt to put kids in reality show

A former NBA great who was known for swatting shots is blocking his ex-wife’s attempt to put their children in a new reality show on VH1.

Shaunie O'Neal has a deal in place for a new show, The Shaunie Project, but her ex, Shaquille O'Neal, is trying to prevent her from getting a court order that will allow their four kids to appear on the series.

Shaunie has tried convincing Shaq that the program will be like The Cosby Show, but he isn’t buying it. Even though the show will have an athletic side to it -- one of the episodes was supposed to involve Shaunie's kids convincing her that exercising is good and feature all of them running a 5K together -- Shaq reportedly thinks the show will make his family look dysfunctional and hurt his kids in school.

According to TMZ, “Shaq believes no good can come from cameras in the home.”

Filming is scheduled to start in the first week of January so the clock is ticking…
