Dec. 12 (UPI) -- Ford's executive board might seek answers regarding the status of Alan Mulally's position as CEO in a closed meeting Thursday. While Mulally has deflected rumors on leaving Ford for Microsoft thus far, the pressure heats up in paving the company's future.
After the exit of Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, it was suggested that Mulally might be the right fit for the job among a handful of contenders. He has previously advised Ballmer and also served as a top Boeing executive. He was credited with fueling Ford's success since he took the wheel in 2006.
