Move aside, Daft Punk. One Direction beat out the French robot rockers to net the year's fastest-selling album in Britain.

The English-Irish boy band's third album, Midnight Memories, debuted at No. 1 on the U.K.'s Official Album Charts on Sunday, selling 237,000 copies in its first week.

Daft Punk's Random Access Memories sold 165,000 copies in its first week back in May.

The perfectly coiffed boys have yet to show any signs of slowing down since Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson became a group on The X Factor in 2010. Midnight Memories far outpaced sales of the band's previous albums -- Up All Night (139,000) and Take Me Home (155,000) -- which debuted in 2011 and 2012 respectively.

“We just want to say a massive, massive thank you for making our album, Midnight Memories, number one,” Payne said in a video thanking fans or their success. "As this is the first record we wrote it really does mean a lot."
