People's Choice Awards release 2014 nominees list, announce hosts

Beth Behrs and Kat Dennings, stars of 2 Broke Girls, will host the awards.

(UPI) -- Nominations for the People's Choice Awards are out, and Glee leads the group in potential awards.

Glee picked up eight total nominations, while singer Katy Perry and actress Sandra Bullock each earned five. The awards show covers film, music and television and is voted on entirely by the public.

The finalists were determined by the number of fan votes each received during the nomination voting phase, which ended October 31. Now, voting begins for the awards and runs until December 5.

Glee scored a nomination for best network TV comedy, while its stars Chris Colfer, Darren Criss, Jane Lynch and Lea Michele each won nominations for acting. It also picked up nominations for favorite TV bromance, favorite TV gal pals and favorite on-screen chemistry.

Perry picked up her nominations for best female music artist, pop artist and favorite music fan following. Her song "Roar" was nominated for best song and music video.

Bullock won nominations for best movie actress, best dramatic actress and best comedic actress. She also picked up two nominations for top movie duo for her roles in Gravity with George Clooney and The Heat with Melissa McCarthy.

The awards will air January 8, hosted by Two Broke Girls stars Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs.
