(UPI) -- A hotel parking attendant in charge of Philadelphia Eagles players' cars stole more than $225,000 from Todd Herremans between 2009 and 2012.

The theft began in 2009 after the attendant, 37-year-old Robert Von Ryan, discovered a document with the player's bank account and routing numbers in his car.

Ryan was charged with bank fraud Tuesday after transferring money to his own account for the past four years.

Herremans did not know about the theft until recent talks with his financial adviser.

"Disappointed in myself, upset that someone would do that before you have to keep your personal information locked up," Herremans said.

"It was a combination of just unexplained expenses that I was talking to my financial adviser about and then he started asking me about purchases and stuff."

All $225,034.52 stolen has been returned to Herremans. If convicted, Ryan could receive a $1 million fine and 30 months in prison.
