Julianne Hough chides Mark Ballas for stealing the spotlight on DWTS

Former "Dancing With the Stars" pro Julianne Hough was back in the ballroom for Monday's show, and she hasn't let go of her complicated past with former competition partner, Mark Ballas.

Hough, who was guest-judging for the week, told Ballas' partner Christina Milian not to let his strutting style steal the spotlight.

“I really wanted to see you shine,” Hough told Milian. “I danced with Mark. You have to stand in front to make sure you’re seen.”

"We shine together," Milian said, deflecting an awkward moment.

And later, after the show, Milian defended her partner.

“We take the high road," she said. "As long as we know that we did a fantastic job, that makes me happy.”

"She put a little sting on me, but that’s okay,” Mark said, brushing off the criticism. “That’s how she felt. It is what it is.”
