Police took a fourth man into custody following a frightening incident in New York City last weekend in which a group of motorcyclists swarmed around an SUV, pulling the driver from his car and beating him on the street.

A 29-year-old Brooklyn man can be seen in a video of last Sunday's incident, punching and kicking the driver, Alexian Lien, officials said. He will be charged with gang assault.

Robert Sims, Reginald Chance and Christopher Cruz were also charged over the past week.

The incident began when Cruz stopped abruptly in front of Lien's Range Rover on the West Side Highway, and Lien tapped the tire of Cruz's motorcycle. Cruz was charged with reckless driving and released on bail.

A large group of bikers, who were taking part in an unauthorized "Hollywood Stuntz" rally, swarmed around the vehicle, hitting the car and spiking the tires. Sims tried to open the driver-side door, but Lien, whose wife and young daughter were in the car, hit the gas, striking three other riders.

When traffic forced Lien to slow, Reginald Chance, 37, got off his bike and began smashing his helmet into the side of the SUV smashing the car's windows.

Sims was charged with attempted assault, gang assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

Chance was charged with first-degree assault, gang assault, unlawful imprisonment, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal mischief. His lawyer denied the assault charges.

After the video ended, police said Lien was pulled from the car, stomped on and beaten by several of the bikers. Lien required stitches at a New York hospital.

Edwin Mieses, one of the bikers hit when Lien sped off trying to escape, suffered a broken spine, torn aortic valve and punctured lung.
