Bill Nye boogies into week two of 'Dancing With The Stars' [VIDEO]

Much to the delight of the MENSA members that showed up to support Bill Nye on "Dancing With The Stars," the Science Guy has made it past the first elimination.

On Monday, Nye channeled Beethoven dancing the paso doble with partner Tyne Stecklein in her first season on the show.

Judge Bruno Tonioli said he was impressed with his "genius and insanity" in the performance, and that "there was actually some paso doble there."

"You nearly blew a gasket," Tonioli said.

He got higher rankings than he did in episode one, soaring from a 14 out of 30 last week to 17 out of 30 as former NFL star Keyshawn Johnson was cut.
