Claire Danes had a good night at the Emmy Awards on Sunday. Not only did the "Homeland" star take home the Best Actress in a Drama Series award, but she also got to hijack Ryan Seacrest's interview with her good friend Lena Dunham.

"Seacrest out, Danes In," gushed Dunham after Danes jumped on stage as she was talking to the E! host.

After sharing a few hugs and telling each other they looked great, Danes proceeded to interview the "Girls" star.

"How do you feel being here tonight?" Danes asked, adding, "I'm so bad at this."

"I'm really excited because you're my really good friend and I never get to see you except for on the E! red carpet!" Duhnam answered.

"I know, it's totally wackadoodle," Danes agreed.

The pair when on to tell Seacrest that they love each other very much and that they've been friends for a long time as they grew up in the same New York City neighborhood.

"I'm in constant awe of what she does," Danes said of Dunham.

"She's my favorite actress," Dunham added.

Asked if they'd ever consider working together, both ladies conceded that they'd love to, but that given their current Showtime/HBO loyalties they'd have to wait.

"We'll wait until there's a less turf-warrish situation," Dunham said, adding that maybe they could do a web series.
