Authorities have found the gray Nissan pick-up truck belonging to Christopher Broussard, the 22-year-old LSU student last seen leaving Bogie's Bar in Baton Rouge on Tuesday morning.

According local media reports, police also found the body of a deceased white male inside the truck, though they have yet to confirm his identity.

Broussard's mother, Lisa, said he had texted her from the bar and had expected to return home or stay at a friend's house for the night.

His family filed a missing person's report when he didn't show up for work at a fitness center.

“He didn’t have school on Tuesday and he never made it home,” she said. “He never showed up at work, and he’s never missed work because he really likes the place. He’s always prompt.”

I wanted to say thank you to all of you on this page. My cousin has been found, but the worst we thought is true. Just keep my aunt, uncle, cousin, the rest of our family, and his fraternity in y'all's prayers.

Broussard's fraternity previously issued a statement urging anyone with information to come forward:

Theta Chi Fraternity has learned of the missing person report filed for Christopher Broussard, a member of Theta Chi's Chapter at Louisiana State University. The LSU Chapter leadership has been in contact with the fraternity's International Headquarters Staff and LSU administrators. The Fraternity urges anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Christopher to immediately contact the appropriate authorities.

Theta Chi offers its full support of the efforts of investigators and prays for Christopher's safe and immediately return.
