Jessica Biel channels Justin Timberlake's ex Britney Spears at VMAs afterparty

Jessica Biel has just caused a little deja-vu.

Biel was not at the MTV Video Music Awards red carpet Sunday, but she did get dressed up to go to an afterparty with moonman-winning husband Justin Timberlake.

Biel wore a sheer black Dolce & Gabbana lace dress and black-and-navy heels with exposed undergarments -- a look that, while more covered-up, hearkened back to Timberlake's ex.

Britney Spears wore a similar dress to the VMAs in 2001, when Timberlake, her then-boyfriend, was her date.

Biel and Timberlake arrived "hand-in-hand" and sat next to Jay-Z and Beyonce at Diddy's Ciroc Amaretto after party, held at PhD Rooftop Lounge in New York City.
