Olivia Newton-John and her husband John Easterling were out of town when a 42-year-old man died of a gunshot wound in their Jupiter, Fla., home.
Local media are calling the death an apparent suicide, though representatives of the Jupiter Police Department said they couldn't confirm any details until the autopsy Tuesday morning.
Though the unidentified victim wasn't related to Newton-John or Easterling, he was hired as a contractor to work on the home. He was found around mid-day on Monday.
According to multiple gossip sites, Newton-John, 64, and her husband had been planning to sell the 7,429-square-foot home. Gossip Extra reported earlier this month that Rosie O'Donnell was in contract to purchase the property.
“This is a terrible tragedy, and we’re not commenting at this time," O'Donnell's rep said of the death.
