Fictional San Diego news anchor Ron Burgundy is releasing an autobiography about his love life and career with the Action 4 news team called "LET ME OFF AT THE TOP!: My Classy Life and Other Musings."

Will Ferrell, who starred as Burgundy in the 2004 film "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy," which he co-wrote along with its upcoming sequel, "Anchorman: The Legend Continues," is not credited as a writer on the fictional autobiography, nor is co-writer Adam McKay.

Published by Random House's Crown Archetype imprint, the book will offer "a rare glimpse behind the camera into the real life of a man many consider to be the greatest living news anchor," according to a press release.

"I don’t know if it’s the greatest autobiography ever written. I’m too close to the work,” Burgundy said in a statement. "I will tell you this much: the first time I sat down and read this thing . . . I cried like a goddamn baby, and you can take that to the bank!"

The tell-all memoir will come out on November 19, ahead of the December 20 release of "Anchorman 2."
