Zayn Malik's girlfriend loves that he got her face tattooed on his arm

One Direction's Zayn Malik has a history of dating fellow former "X Factor" contestants, like Rebecca Ferguson and Geneva Lane. But he must be really serious with Perrie Edwards, whose girl group Little Mix won the show's eighth season.

Because nothing says forever like a tattoo, Malik got Edwards' likeness inked on his upper right arm back in June.

The tattoo depicts Edwards as a hippie sporting a peace shirt and a beanie.

In an interview at Sunday night's Teen Choice Awards, the Little Mix singer said the tattoo seemed like a real sign of Malik's love for her.

"It must be love to be honest," she told omg!. "When I'm away from him, I guess he can just take a look at his arm and remind him of me. So it's a lovely compliment really. I love it, it's lovely."

Malik and Edwards starting dating last year.
