CBS New York reported that 16,000 fans came out to see the 70-year-old, who brought down the house on Saturday night taking what Gothamist called a nostalgic tone. McCartney took his fans on a trip to the past, playing Beatles songs, paying tribute to the late John Lennon and George Harrison, and telling anecdotes about Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix.

Barclay's Center has recently hosted the likes of Jay-Z, Justin Bieber, The Killers and The National and can now add longtime rocker Paul McCartney to its all-star roster.
