Supermodel Heidi Klum turned 40 on Saturday with her head held high. "40 is the new 30," Klum said. "I don't really care about aging. I'm happy."
That head was topped with a fabulous hat, as were those of her guests. Klum was joined by her boyfriend, Martin Kristen, and her children for a hat-themed birthday party at the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles, according to the Daily Mail.
"I'm excited," Klum said before the party. "My friend is actually throwing me a party, and it's going to be a hat party. I can't wait!"
Klum wore a three-tiered top hat with a sequined blazer and skinny jeans. Her guests were required to join in the hat fun.

"It's all girlfriends of mine and everyone has to wear a crazy hat," Klum said. "So we're all going to sit around with some hats on, which I think is fun."

Before the party, she was spotted with her family for a breakfast run so early her children were still in their pajamas, the Mail wrote.
After that, she opened a present from her children -- a set of hand-painted casts of their hands.
