Zayn Malik's mom joined Twitter to defend son

Zayn Malik temporarily quit Twitter last year after receiving messages attacking his Muslim faith and South Asian background.

"The reason I don't tweet as much as i use to, is because I'm sick of all the useless opinions and hate that i get daily goodbye twitter," Malik said at the time.

The 20-year-old former "X Factor" contestant eventually returned to the social media site, but so did his protective mother.

According to the Sun, Patricia "Trish" Malik, recently fired back at one cruel critic with: “Hope you’re happy now Zayn noticed your tweet! You can’t even imagine how it made him upset, you psycho.”
