Zoe Saldana's weight revealed in Allure cover

Zoe Saldana appears on the June cover of Allure magazine alongside a headline that reveals the star is "115 Pounds of Grit and Heartache."

Several media outlets have had negative reactions to the magazine's disclosure claiming it was unnecesary to showcase they actress's below-average weight.

"Why on earth would they do that? Allure: several hundred pages of possibly decent editorial content, overshadowed by a stupid cover line," The Cut wrote about the headline.

"It's not clear if or how the number fits into the piece since the full interview with the actress has yet to be released," wrote Yahoo!'s OMG, adding that "Whomever is responsible, the decision to showcase Saldana's digits seems so … unnecessary."

Saldana's rep reportedly referred OMG's questions about the headline to Allure magazine staff, who in turn, said they had no comment.
