Danity Kane could be getting back together to record new music, with or without the approval of Diddy, who first brought the girl group together on "Making the Band."

Four original members of the group set rumors swirling with a lunch meeting in Los Angeles Monday, TMZ reported.

The girls -- Aubrey O'Day, Shannon Bex, Dawn Richard and Aundrea Fimbres -- met with a new manager to set plans for new music and a tour in motion.

Sean "Diddy" Combs signed Danity Kane to Bad Boy Records in 2005 for "Making the Band 3," but later fired everyone but Richard.

TMZ's source said the band plans to use their original name, even though it isn't clear who owns the rights to "Danity Kane," so a big legal battle could be forthcoming.
