Sometimes you have to spend money to make money. For Thuan Le, a single mother of four sons living in Santa Ana, Calif., it only took an extra $1.

When Le visited the local CVS store to purchase her usual $4 worth of Powerball tickets and $1 SuperLotto Plus ticket, she accidentally slipped $6 dollars into the machine, according to NBC News. Realizing her mistake, Le bought an extra SuperLotto Plus ticket.

The next day, she was $14 million richer.

"When she ran her SuperLotto Plus ticket through the terminal and realized she had won a $14 million jackpot, she ran screaming out of the store!” a California Lottery press release said.

“We thought she was joking,” Le's son told Lottery officials. “But we thought would she really joke like this? My older brother said, ‘Yes, she would.’”

The lucky mom plans to use her jackpot to buy a house and visit her family in Vietnam.

Le's winning numbers were 5, 33, 25, 46, 32 and the Mega Number 26.
