Tom Sizemore discusses drug abuse in autobiographical book

In Tom Sizemore's new memoir, "By Some Miracle I Made It Out Of There" the actor opens up about his history with drug abuse and his path to getting clean.

According to Salon, "By Some Meriacle" details Sizemore's rise to fame -- in which he got to work with celebrities like Steven Spielberg and Robert De Niro-- and his inevitable fall, as a product of his drug addiction, which at one point landed him in prison.

“I was a guy who’d come from very little and risen to the top,” Sizemore writes. “I’d had the multimillion-dollar house, the Porsche, the restaurant I partially owned with Robert De Niro."

“And now I had absolutely nothing.”

The book's title "By Some Miracle" traces its origin back to a line Sizemore uttered as Sgt. Mike Horvath in "Saving Private Ryan." It refers to a man who, by his own admission, is nothing but a "spoiled movie star," "an arrogant fool" who at one point is a "hope-to-die" an addict.

The book, which was released on April 9, gives the reader a a behind-the-scenes look at the actor's drug-infused Hollywood life featuring details about sex tapes and abundant amounts of drug taking.

“I’ve led an interesting life, but I can’t tell you what I’d give to be the guy you didn’t know anything about,” Sizemore writes.
