Political activist and Vietnam War veteran Jimmy McMillan of the "Rent is Too Damn High" party announced his candidacy for Mayor of New York Wednesday with a song and video produced by Animal New York.
McMillan first ran for office in 1993 when he ran for Mayor of New York. Since then he's run for Governor of New York in 2010 and for President of The United States in 2012. He has consistently used the same one-point-platform "Rent is too damn high" for all of his campaigns.

Though Animal New York declared in a statement they weren't in the business of endorsing candidates, the blog said they collaborated with the song and video because they wanted to help McMillan get the message out.
