Shallow grave discovered near Calif. freeway

Los Angeles-area police are looking into a potential homicide after a body was discovered in a shallow grave Sunday.

A California Highway Patrol deputy discovered the grave Sunday afternoon near the 105 Freeway near the Bellflower Boulevard exit in Downey. Downey Police Department homicide detectives have taken over the investigation, the LA Times reported.

No description of the remains or an identity was made available.
