Previous photo ops have shown Russia's outdoorsy president wrestling tigers, harpooning whales and riding horses without a shirt on, but the Kremlin wants you to know that Vladimir Putin has a soft side too.

In a new series of photos released by the Russian government, titled "A walk in the Moscow suburbs," Putin sports a Team Russia tracksuit and plays in the snow with his two dogs, a Bulgarian shepherd named Bubby and an Akita Inu puppy named Yume, Sky News reported Thursday.

Yume was a gift from a governor of Japan's Akita prefecture, Norihisa Satake. Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov gave Buffy to Putin in 2010.
