Tina Turner engaged at 73

The 73-year-old musician has said yes to her partner of 27 years, German producer Erwin Bach, 57, reports Swiss magazine Blick.

The couple met in Germany in 1985 while Bach was an executive at EMI, and began dating in 1986. Turner moved in with him in Switzerland in 1995, and Bach proposed two years ago. She has now officially said yes, and the pair will tie the knot at their property on Lake Zurich. The invitation reportedly requests that guests wear all white.

Turner is also on her way to becoming a Swiss citizen, according to the Huffington Post. She was approved by a local council, pending formal approval from state and federal authorities.

This will be Turner's second marriage. Tina married musician Ike Turner in 1962, and they formed the Ike and Tina Turner Revue. They divorced in 1976, and after Turner's later autobiography "I, Tina," Ike became an icon of spousal abuse and drug abuse. They had no contact after that, and he died in 2007.
