One thousand dead ducks were found floating in a Chinese river Monday, just one week after 16,000 dead pigs were found in a river near Shanghai.
The New York Post reports the dead ducks were pulled out of the Nanhe river in the Sichuan province. Their carcasses were put in woven bags and buried to ensure the safety of local residents.

The news comes shortly after authorities finished pulling a total of 16,000 dead pigs from the Huangpu River.
Local officials have not yet figured out what killed the animals.
