Cheerleader Ashlee Arnau is becoming a YouTube star after making a front-flip half-court basketball shot.

The 21-year-old cheerleader at William Carey University in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, performed the shot Thursday night during halftime of a men's game. Arnau set the ball on the half-court line, then took a running start to grab the ball during a front flip and launch it into the net — without touching the rim.

She has been trying the shot during halftime of home basketball games all season, but this was the first time she was successful. Arnau has made the shot once before during a junior college tournament game but on that occasion the ball bounced in. "I didn’t count it because I wanted it to go nothing but net."

The cheerleader usually tries the trick around four or five times during the halftime show and last night, during the final home game of the season, she made the shot on her fifth try. There were cheers all around.
