"You know, Joe Pesci always said I'd end up with my feet in cement," De Niro told the crowd outside the famous Hollywood TCL Chinese Theatre. "I don't think this is what he had in mind."

Robert De Niro was immortalized in cement on Monday before he went to the Oscar nominee luncheon. He put his handprints, footprints and signature in the wet cement to be placed alongside other iconic film stars.

He's currently nominated for an Academy Award for his role in "Silver Linings Playbook." It would be the "Goodfellas" and "Taxi Driver" star's first in over 20 years.
