'1776 will commence again': Alex Jones blows up on Piers Morgan in gun control rant [VIDEO]

Radio Host Alex Jones, the creator of the White House petition to deport Piers Morgan, was a guest on the British television host's CNN show Monday night and he certainly brought the fireworks.

In a speech that started as an explanation for why he started the petition (to draw attention to to anti-gun control positions), Jones launched a tirade that pointed the finger at globalism and the "megabanks that control the planet" for taking away guns.

He got really heated after the second minute, shouting at a mostly silent Morgan, "I'm here to tell you 1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms!"

Morgan tried, without a lot of luck, to get answers to questions to hold a debate, which Jones more or less steamrolled.

The whole thing is really astonishing.

The We the People petition easily hit the minimum threshold of 25,000 needed for an automatic response, and at Monday's press briefing, White House press secretary Jay Carney briefly addressed it:

The White House responds to all petitions that cross the threshold and we will respond to this one. In the meantime, it is worth remembering that the freedom of expression is a bedrock principle in our democracy.
